GEDMATCH Result

  • This is not direct line, but a sidetrack.   Got a match on Oby Robirds.    I will fill in later, however, Oby Robirds is a sidetrack from my step great grandmother Jessie McClure who was my great grandfather Trueman F. Reynolds second wife.

  • The above is from GEDMATCH, not sure why all the children are hidden,  they are on Ancestry.
  • It lists an Unknown Union,  is this Oby's mother?  Oby was born in 1811, Nancy and John were married in ????, There are several dates on Ancestry. I need to check it out.  Nancy was born in 1798, she would have only been 13 when Oby was born.
  • Searched on Ancestry and have found John Osborn (Roberts) Roberds, but no mention of Oby, will have to search and see if somehow he just has missed the census records.

Hi,
I've decided to start this blog to keep track of my endeavors into genealogical research.
Mainly to recall my research and to identify why I have chosen certain paths.
Such as:
why did I decide to research a particular branch?   I do get sidetracked on interesting branches that are not in my direct line.
why I decide that two records refer to the same person even though there are discrepancies.

I want to add more media and links to people.

So this will not be a standard family tree, more like a supplement.
